Two girls sit on a front porch talking about the BLM protests going on downtown. Their conversation is interrupted by a call from one girl’s mother. The girl listens to her mom’s concerns about the news reports in her daughter’s city. She comforts her with a seamlessly delivered lie, “We’re just chillin’ on the porch tonight.” When the girl hangs up she turns to her friend, “she doesn’t follow you right? Either way let’s not post anything, that woman has her ways.” They throw backpacks on and start to mobilize.
